Basking Together in the Good Word - Part 4

Before we knew it, our time with President and Sister Nelson and Elder and Sister Bowen came to an end.  We learned much and felt even more. Our missionaries were praised, appreciated, cautioned, inspired and instructed for two hours.   The Spirit was strong and we knew that what we heard was truth.  Just what one would expect from a visit by a prophet, seer and revelator.

As the meeting ended, the missionaries stayed seated until our guests left the room.  Elder Ronquillo played the piano softly as they prepared to leave the building.  Elder Nelson stood and waved to the audience.  The missionaries all waved back.  How I wish we had a picture of that.  As President and Sister Nelson and Elder and Sister Bowen were leaving the chapel, the missionaries began to softly sing, "If the Savior Stood Beside Me."  When our guests exited, the volume of the song grew louder.  It was a beautiful site and sound.  President Clark and I saw our guests to their vehicles.  We had a moment of personal conversation with this dear Apostle.  Time not to be forgotten.

This will be a once in a lifetime experience for many of our missionaries.  How grateful we are that the Philippines Angeles Missionaries can recall and rejoice in the memories of our dear President Russell M. Nelson and Sister Nelson.
