FAITH-FILLED ZONE CONFERENCE - Camiling, Paniqui & Santa Ignacia

CAMILING, PANIQUI & SANTA IGNACIA

It's Zone Conference time again.  The format we chose used for this quarter was four days of conferences with three zones gathered for each day.  This allows for smaller groups to learn and participate.  The theme for the conferences was Faith!  We have studied some incredible articles to assist us in our learning.  President and Sister Clark took the morning workshops.  Sister Clark lead the discussion as the faith articles were reviewed.  There were many great comments from our missionaries on the power of faith in their lives and how their faith has grown.  President Clark taught an interesting lesson on obedience and faith and the vital interaction between these two doctrines in missionary lives.  He quoted one of his favorite life-shaping quotes by Daniel Hudson Burnham (famous Chicago architect), Make no little plans; they have no magic to stir men's blood and probably themselves will not be realized.  Make big plans, aim high in hope and work."

In the afternoon we turned the time to the young mission leaders to teach inspired skills and proselyting practices to our mission.  We have four proselyting tools (all based on Preach My Gospel) that we ask our missionaries to perfect and use.  As they do we see many miracles occur.  These tools require great faith and diligence.  Really hard work to master and sustain.  Our missionaries are working very hard to do this.

Our Sister Training Leaders did a great job teaching "8/30 Member Visits".  These visits call for each missionary companionship to visit 8 active families a week, both active and less-active.  They shouldn't stay longer than 30 minutes.  The goal is to build confidence with the members, reactivate and renew a missionary spirit in the home.  The second concept Sister Training Leaders taught was "Lesson Staffing".  This is the practice of getting the right member to go with the missionaries to the right investigator.  Inspired matching to help conversion of the investigator.

The Assistants did a great job teaching "Follow Up 200" and "Baptize Weekly".  Sister Clark did a very memorable role play, as the investigator, showing what happens if missionaries don't make daily contact with investigators.

Throughout the morning, most of our missionaries were given a flu shot that was provided by the Church.  They find that they save medical costs and improve missionary health by providing the shots.  One of the zones below took some humorous pictures of the good, the bad and the brave.

Birthday joy!

    1. That was our first group and I took video of the song. I've been trying to download it but I'm not very tech savvy. I'll see if the office elders can help me tomorrow. :)
